Shilpa Shetty's Holi Bash for Rajasthan Royals
Shilpa Shetty sure knows how to stay busy. After launching her production company, buying a stake in Rajasthan Royals and most recently announcing the expansion of her chain of spas, the actress is now busy playing host. Shilpa will be throwing a Holi bash for the Rajasthan Royals.

âSHE is throwing a small get together on March 10 at the Grand Hyatt. Both she and Raj (Kundra) are making sure that they get the menu and the theme of the party correct. She wants to really pep up the team as the IPL tournament gets close,â informs a source. But the actress wants ! to make sure none of the designer outfits get ruined too and so she is planning a colourless-Holi extravaganza. And to make up for the lack of colour, she intends to have a whole lot of bhang for her team at the venue. We hear the actress who is normally quite conscious about what she eats plans to go quite traditional in the menu.
âThere will be a lot of Indian sweets on the menu that are associated with Holi. Jalebis, gulab jamuns and bhang ka ladoos are some of the things that will be on offer. However she also plans to include various cuisines as well to suit the international players as well,â adds our source. Last year's winners Rajasthan Royals have further strengthened their team by adding Kiwi player Shaun Tait. Known for his strong bowling action, Tait is known to have brought the strongest international teams to their knees with his fast ones. Royals have also taken on Tyron Anderson for over 3 crores. The team already boasts of big guns like Shane! Warne, Darren Lehman, Mohammed Kaif, Shane Watson and Yusuf P! athan.Ho wever, this year the Rajasthan Royals will have to go ahead without three of their strong players - Kamran Akmal, Sohail Tanvir and Younus Khan. The three players will be unavailable this year following a ban on Pakistani players from participating in the IPL.

Kapoor's Family Bond Over Movies
Ranbir Kapoor is signing some plum projects, Rishi Kapoor is enjoying his new innings in front of the camera while Neetu Kapoor too is eyeing a big screen comeback. A happy situation indeed for Kapoors who come with decades of experience in movie making and are expected to be the torch bearers of Bollywood for many more decades to come.
In a candid conversation, the lady of the house - Neetu Kapoor - divulges that the family has been sharing a healthy interaction over the years when it comes to Bollywood since it has been a part of their blood for generations.

"We do talk about movies most of the time and over the years whenever a film has released, regardless of which actor stars in it, we have spoken about it", she reveals, "It could have been a dining table conversation where we would have collectively critiqued a film.
It could be positive or constructive talk about a film and along with Ranbir we have got into discussions around the way a particular scene unfolds or an actor performs. "
Talking about looking at a film closely, which performances of Rishi Kapoor would she rate the highest over the years? "'Chandni' and 'Damini'", prompt comes the reply, "He has been very good in dozens of films over last 40 odd years but from the recent lot of his films, these two films are closest to my heart.

These were difficult roles, especially 'Damini' where had such a huge predicament to face. And he played this role to perfection. "
How about her own comeback in Bollywood? Years after her last big film 'Yaarana' (1981) with Amitabh Bachchan, she would now be seen in 'Do Dooni Chaar' along with Rishi Kapoor. What made her take the plunge?
"Frankly, there were offers over the years but we all were so busy in our things", she smiles, "Then my daughter Riddhima got married while Ranbir too began his acting career.
This is when this exciting film 'Do Dooni Chaar' came up and I was game for the comeback. The film is a meaningful light hearted entertainer where Rishiji plays a Mathematics teacher while I play his wife and a mothe! r of two grown up kids. "
Directed by Habib Faisal (who makes his debut with the film), 'Do Dooni Chaar' would be releasing towards the latter half of 2009.

Why Shiney Will Rape His Maid - This Is A Trap
Actor Shiney Ahuja is produced in the court on Monday. He has allegedly raped his domestic help and held under the section 376 after the preliminary test that confirmed the sexual assault. He will be in the custody till 18 june.
As an actor Ahuja has prominent films like Hazaron Khwaishe Aisi, Life in a Metro, Woh Lamhe and Gangster to his credit. With every film he has scaled new heights and carved his niche. But the news of his arrest has shocked the industry.
Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt expressed while talking to the news channel, âI am ashamed and shocked to hear this. Shiney was actively helping Deepak Tijori when his daughter was victimized for rape. Shiney has been close to us. All I can say is that if he is found guilty, the court will condemn him."
Vinod Pande, Director who introduced Shiney stated, âI have known him since long and after hearing this I am in shock and canât comment. All I can say is that industry will incur loss as! there are many movies lined up with him. I think we should wait for the final verdict to come"

Manoj Joshi, his co-actor in Bhool Bhoolaiyaa comments, âI have complete faith on Indian judiciary. If any crime is committed accuse should be punished irrespective of his status. I do not know him personally we have worked only in one scene of the film."
Vinay Pathak who worked with Shiney in the film Khoya Khoya Chand, commented, "I am out of country and do not know the details. I was hinted by my friends in India. I donât know Shiney personally and havenât interacted ! with him. But I was shocked to know this and cannot comment on! this."
Anurag Basu director and friend of the actor said, "Obviously I am very shocked when i saw it in the news. I'm trying to get in touch with him or his relatives to know what exactly happened.
Shiney whom I know personally is drastically different from the one in the headline. I am sure that he will get the clean chit. He is being framed. As far as I know he is not this type of person. I donât see any reason for him to commit this crime. Why will he do this to a maid? This is a trap and there is something fishy. I wish what I believe is true."

Movie Review Of "Let's Dance"
Just last week, Vashu Bhagnani showcased his son Jackky Bhagnani's acting skills in KAL KISSNE DEKHA.
This week, another father - Arvind Patel - attempts to showcase his daughter Gayatri Patel's dancing skills in LET'S DANCE, directed by Aarif Sheikh.
Come to think of it, such launch pads often act as a showreel for furthering the career in Bollywood. In that respect, LET'S DANCE succeeds... to an extent.
But there's a hitch! The film bears an uncanny resemblance to Ramgopal Varma's immensely likable RANGEELA and Yash Raj's utterly forgettable AAJA NACHLE.

No issues if LET'S DANCE seeks inspiration from elsewhere [coincidence?], but in an effort to showcase Gayatri's dances, the remaining aspects take a backseat. The dances appeal, but the love story doesn't. And the crime angle, injected in the plotline, is a big bore.
Let's be specific. Gayatri's dances are a treat [she dances exceptionally well], but her love interest cuts a sorry picture. The street children's connection with a crook also seems unwarranted.
In a nutshell, LET'S DANCE will be best remembered for Gayatri's exuberant dances. That's it!
LET'S DANCE is about a girl who gives direction in life to a group of street kids.
Young and peppy, she is a dancer who runs her own dance school and plays the catalyst in the story. She comes in contact with a bunch of street kids and hence, begins a journey she believes in.

Editor-turned-director Aarif Sheikh has shot the film well, but he could've done with a tighter script. Music is a plus point, but what stays with you is the choreography of all songs, especially 'Taare Todh Ke La'.
Gayatri Patel is a fine actress and her dancing skills catch your attention. The two heroes don't cut ice, but the kids do, mainly the eldest kid who talks and behaves like a real tapori.
On the whole, LET'S DANCE is too ordinary, with its share of limitations.

Mallika Sherawat - Avoided The Nude Shot Again
When we first saw the promos of Mallika Sherawat starrer Hissss, we got the impression that she has indeed given a nude shot in the film. There were sequences seen in the extended promo that showed a nude butt shot of Mallika sliding in the mud and turning into a deadly snake.
We were in fact the first ones to have reported about it back then. While it suggested it was her, we have now found out that it is actually a body double used instead of Mallika.
So what actually happened to this dare bare attitude girl who once shed all her inhibitions on screen?

It is ! learnt that when the shoot for the shot was going to take place, she requested to the film's director, Jennifer Lynch that she would not be able to do the scene and it would be better to use a body double. Jennifer perhaps understood her predicament and canned the shot with a body double.
But this hasn't been the first instance when Mallika has chickened out of giving a nude shot. Apparently, she was earlier supposed to do a nude scene in Mahesh Bhatt's Murder (2004) but when she reached the sets she developed cold feet.
